Jusu Brothers & Notting Hill Finds

October 3, 2017

After a lot of consideration, I’ve come to the conclusion that there is nothing better than going out to eat. Better yet, there is nothing better than going out to eat brunch, with your best friends. Don’t get me wrong, I love to cook, and there isn’t a lot of things that beat a home cooked meal, but there is just something about finding amazing eateries that align with your foodie philosophies and serve incredible food.

I walked past Jusu Brother’s on Notting Hill’s oh so fashionable Westbourne Grove a few months back. I stared through the huge glass windows into the light, spacious café, filled with masses of plants and swoon-worthy aesthetic details, wishing I hadn’t just spent all my money half an hour prior. The Japanese inspired space serves up the ultimate brunch options – smoothies, fresh juices, avo toast and smoothie bowls. It’s healthy, but slightly indulgent at the same time – exactly what I’m allll about.

I opted for the avo toast on walnut bread, of course, topped with black sesame seeds (so many health benefits), chilli flakes and pink salt. It was accompanied by a warming mug of golden milk, made with almond milk. My beautiful brunch companion opted for the not-so-plant-based fresh toast, topped with homemade nuttella and strawberries. It was a wonderful place to gossip and let the world past by for a while. If you ever find yourself in the area, Jusu Brothers is definitely worth a visit.

So what else is there to do in Notting Hill. This beautiful part of London is home to so many of my favourite plant-based eats. Just a short walk from Jusu Brothers and you’ll find Farmacy. With food bursting with goodness and extremely glamorous interior design, Farmacy is one of those not to miss locations. I’m also a huge fan of NAMA, a raw eatery just off Portobello road. Grab a slice of raw cake and a fresh juice before exploring the wonders of the market (just not on a Saturday).

Daylesford Farm shop is one of those places I could spend browsing for hours on end, and their home ware section is honestly to die for. You’ll find shops such as Sweaty Betty, Melt chocolate, Maje, American Vintage and Loft as you wonder around for a little longer. In need of a pamper? Head to Blink Brow bar – the only place I’ll ever get my eyebrows done. They are brow genius, and I couldn’t recommend them more if I tried.
